Practicing Antiracism
An easy way to work against systems which have upheld white bodies in musical spaces is to bring black musical bodies to those spaces in ways they haven't been before!


Every act of antiracism is a contribution towards diversifying the musical field and ending oppression.
Think creatively about the ways in which you can bring justice to the historical mistreatment and silencing of black voices in your cirriculum. Do you know other popular music by black artists? When you sit down and analyze them, what kind of things could you use to apply in the classroom?
